How to Choose an Education Consultancy in Banepa Without Getting Burned

Check government and association registration first

Every legitimate consultancy in Nepal should be able to show you a government registration certificate and, for most, ECAN membership. If a consultancy can't produce these on request, that's a legitimate reason to walk away — not a minor formality.

Ask for the success rate, and ask how it's calculated

"High success rate" is meaningless without a denominator. A consultancy that only counts applications it chose to file, after screening out weaker candidates, will always report a better number than one that's transparent about every case it took on. Ask directly how the number is calculated.

Look for direct university partnerships, not just claims

Authorized recruitment partnerships with specific universities — the kind that get documented in writing — mean faster processing and a real institutional relationship, not just a consultancy sending applications into a general admissions inbox. Ask which universities they hold direct partnerships with, and ask to see the agreement or certificate.

Ask what happens if you're refused

This is the question that separates consultancies. A consultancy that has a real process for handling a prior refusal — reviewing the refusal letter, identifying exactly what to rebuild — is a very different operation from one that just resubmits a slightly modified file and hopes.
